Step One

Fill Out Application

International Students wanting to study at America’s English Language School need to apply for their F-1 Visa. Nomen Global’s Student Advisors are available to assist you through the entire application process, including preparation for your visit with the United States Embassy. To begin the application process please either fill out the application online by clicking the “Apply Now” button above, or download the PDF version.

Step Two

Submit Additional Documentation

After an application has been submitted and before the creation of an I-20 can be processed, the following documents must be submitted.

  • Copy of Current Passport
  • Financial Bank Statement for the past 60 days
  • Affidavit of Sponsor Support
  • Non-refundable Application fee of US$125

Step Three

Embassy Information and Scheduling

The United States Government requires all international students to register with SEVIS. “The SEVIS I-901 fee is mandated by Congress to support the program office and the automated system that keeps track of students and exchange visitors and ensures that they maintain their status while in the United States. Each student or exchange visitor issued an initial Form I-20 or DS-2019 on or after September 1, 2004, is responsible for paying this fee to SEVP.” (http://www.ice.gov/sevis/i901/faq)

Students should schedule an appointment with their Student Advisor before going to the embassy. The Advisor will help you to ensure you have the required documentation needed for your embassy visit.

Step Four

Housing and Health Insurance Information

America’s English Language School provides services to students assisting them in locating housing while they study. Provo offers amazing opportunities for affordable housing. Learn more about the types of housing we provide to our students below!

Homestay Program

Our Homestay Program provides students the opportunity to live with an American family while they study. These families provide meals, rooms, and transportation to school for their students. In addition, our students can fully immerse themselves in American culture while they practice everything they are learning in school at home with their Homestay family!

Interested in living in an apartment with other college age students or on your own? America’s English Language School will assist students to find housing in one of the many student housing complexes around Provo. Provo truly is a College-Town! There are two universities with in 7 miles of America’s English Language School: the largest state sponsored university in the state of Utah (Utah Valley University), and the largest private university in the United States (Brigham Young University). Most of the students studying at Nomen Global live with American students studying in these universities.

Step Five

Arriving in Provo

Flight Plans

Upon approval of the F-1 Visa, students should begin to make plans for arrival to America’s English Language School. Flights should be scheduled to arrive to school 5 days before classes begin. If a student needs transportation from the airport to their school or housing, please contact the school directly to make arrangements 2 weeks before your flight is due to arrive.

Application and Registration

The application process ends for each student upon the generation of the students I-20. Upon receipt of the F-1 student visa the registration process is complete.

Pay Tuition

Tuition should be paid in full before arrival into the United States. Students could be charged additional late fees upon arrival to America’s English Language School if tuition has not been paid. If you have any questions about tuition, please contact your Student Advisor.

Enrollment

Enrollment is to be done BEFORE the student is to begin classes. Please arrive to the school to complete the enrollment process.
